After the slightly disappointing Mummy: Rise of the Dragon Emperor, it was with great hesitation that I sat down to watch the latest installment of this spin-off series. But now, having seen the movie, my only question is why Universal Pictures deemed this STV when it's far superior to the sloppy-albeit-enjoyable mess that is Mummy 3?
Confusingly referred to as 2 although acting as a prequel to the original, Rise of a Warrior provides everything that made the first Mummy such an enjoyable film.
On top of that, it adds a Minotaur.
That's right. A fucking Minotaur.
